Episode 46: Hook

In this week’s episode, we remember the great Robin Williams. Dennis suggested that we watch the 1991 movie “Hook” in his honor while I pulled up the episode of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” that Robin was in. We also discuss a lot about our favorite Robin Williams movies and moments from his monologue in “Good Will Hunting” to his 2002 “Live on Broadway” special to his episode of “Inside the Actor’s Studio.”

Episode 45: Guardians of the Galaxy

In this week’s episode, Will and I discuss Marvel’s latest movie “Guardians of the Galaxy”. Will’s a big Guardians fans and says he thinks that Guardians is his favorite movie of the year so far. We also discuss how the movie can stand on it’s own, but still dig how it’s connected to the Marvel cinematic universe. And finally, we end up discussing other comic book movies like the upcoming “Batman v. Superman”.

In this week’s episode of Movie Night Spotlight, Dennis joins me for an annual tradition of mine by watching Kevin Smith’s “Clerks” and “Clerks 2″ on my birthday. We discuss the movies, and then Dennis points out it was really me just talking about how I love everything Kevin Smith works on. We also go over a list of the “10 Sickest Sequels in the ’00′s” discussing everything from “The Dark Knight” to “Shrek 2″.

Episode 41: Batman Returns

In this week’s episode, Liam returns to discuss 1992’s “Batman Returns” starring Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Christopher Walken and direted by Tim Burton. Liam takes us down memory lane telling a story of why his mom hates Christopher Walken, we discuss how we enjoyed both The Penguin and Catwoman in the movie, and I rant a little bit on the lack of a good storyline for Batman/Bruce Wayne in the movie. We also talk about “Transformers: Age of Extinction” for a little bit, and I recommend everyone check out “Life Itself” and “Boyhood” which are being released this month.

In this week’s episode of Movie Night Spotlight, Liam and I discuss “Looper” starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, and Bruce Willis. We also talk about how Rian Johnson, the writer and director of “Looper”, is going to be writing and directing Star Wars Episode VIII, how “Ghostbusters” turns 30, and “Batman” is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary.

Episode 38: The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai

In this week’s episode, Will, Dennis, and I discuss the 1984 movie “The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension”. Will didn’t really enjoy it where Dennis and I took more it being so weird that it’s good kind of opinion. We also discuss if it should be remade like other 80’s classics like “RoboCop” and “Total Recall”. There’s also some talk about some YouTube videos that we watched that were kind of interesting to say the least.
